EBC yellow stuff pads

Featured Replies

Anyone have the product number for front and rear EBC yellow stuff pads for the mk2 Vrs? Their is two different ones on their website and not to sure which ones to order. Thanks much

DP41517R (front, dont know the rear! standards are fine, the rears do so little work!) they are the same pads that fit golf VI , touran, yeti 1.8, superb 1.8 eect ect common pad, but rarely listed as a vRS II pad!

great pads! there are better, but at twice the cost (like tarox corsa) since I also put the ATE blue racing fluid in, I now have had brakes that can stand up to any track day :) last tested 2 weeks ago at the nurbutgring ;)

I've got these in mine, sharp as a pin when cold but get brake fade easily.

Booked in on Monday for a brake fluid change as not sure when it was last done

Could this be why I get brake fade quite quick? Also the brake pedal is solid straight away when I shut off the engine, usually in other cars you can pump the pedal a few times.

Never had Yellows fade on my Superb, and I faded stock pads easily. Brake fluid is much more likely the problem.

Here is a list of common fluids with wet and dry boiling temps, I have used Castrol Super Dot4 / Performance Dot4 for many years on 3 different Skodas, it does not age any faster than stock fluid, does not make clutch squeak and has high enough wet/dry boiling points.

^^^^ I concurr, I was "loosing the pedal" on the track before I did the brake fluid change, now its perfect... the standard fluid wasn't able to handle the temps that the pads could!

Thanks, I don't do track etc, but on some spirited drives I have had, it's been a bit hairy.

Hopefully the brake fluid change will put this right.

Generally though a good pad.
