Potential problem with N112 valve leaking?

Featured Replies

Hi all, a while back I did the vacuum simplify mod and bypassed the N249 and N112 but broke one of the plastic inlets on the N112. A few days later o was getting eml on as the N112 wasnt detecting vacuum so refittied the vac lines to the N112 and bodged the snapped plastic nipple. After this i coyld hear a hissing so knew it was sucking in air.

So replaced the N112 a couple of days ago and can still hear this hissing! Upon more investing I found it to be from the black cap on the rear of the N112, removed this cap to find a another nipple.

Should I have vacuum leaking here? Anybody else have this?

Thanks in advance

That port is to release vacuum to atmosphere. It probably shouldn't leak to the extent of making a hissing noise though.

I'm not sure why you've refitted it though, why not just block or even remove the vacuum pipe?

if I unplug it, it brings eml on, so reconnected and left vac pipes of but still brought eml on. but now with vac pipes on its leaking vacuum! might just block it off

What code are you getting? Incorrect flow?

Thats the one

So unfortunately you'll need a new N112 or have the system removed from your MAP. Has it been remapped?

If the vac lines connected then i dont get the code.

Not remapped

Basically, if the ECU doesn't detect the SAI valve is opening, it'll throw the code. You'll need to plumb it back in how it was so it works, or have it removed from the MAP and remove the lot
