Stolen!

Featured Replies

As above, some spineless rats broke into my father-in-law's transit van last night and took all his power tools / hand tools, these are his work tools and his livelyhood so hes pretty upset about it all.

Hes got a Ford 05' plate Transit van and there were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle, police came out and couldnt lift any prints due to it raining and he has the van boarded out so no smooth surfaces inside to lift prints off of either :( .

Anyone have any ideas as to how these B******S got in, would be nice to know so we can prevent it happening again!

Obviously dont post it here on the thread but pm me please if you are aware of any ways they mightve gotten in!

If this post breaks any of the forum rules please remove it and i apologise in advance.

Many thanks

You have a PM

Sorry to hear it :(.

They can do loads of things these days.

Iv heard they can pick up the code when you unlock your car on their computer, then come back later and just unlock it.

How true that is, i dont know.

I only am cos I left my mk5 running with the keys in the ignition locked

Usually you need specialist insurance to cover tools. Usually van insurance won't cover them

Nothing Secret about how worn Transit Keys can be for the Front Doors and Ignition,

& even dead locked the rear doors are easy to get in.

My 51 Plate did not have high mileage when 6 years old, but various Ford Keys opened and started it, and the key could be removed with the engine running.

Well, my mates 07 plate transit ignition barrel just fell to bits today.

So thats pretty damn terrible at doing its job at the mo haha.

Even with slam locks on the back its real easy to get in :)
