Do I need to use part 265-125 to join my exhaust centre section?

Featured Replies

Since owning my Felicia for the last 4 years, I've changed the exhaust system twice. Each time, it bumps on the rear axle if there is any weight at all in the back.

I have since discovered part 265-125 that is a joining pipe just before the centre section and wondered if I was supposed to be using that, as it would in effect make the system longer by a coupe of inches, maybe clearing the axle ?

I'm also considering using these chaps below  for my next system order as the total price is cheaper than buying just the centre section at ECP.

Anyone used them and have anything good or bad to say?

Hi there I use above for joining to center section to cat bit off exhaust paste. I found mine knocked I ended up bending exhaust a little as after market pipes are not the best fit I now run a custom exhaust so no need to replace again....

Yes and no, it depends on which manufacturer you get the exhaust pieces from, if it's bosal or karius then yes you need it, but other manufacturers use a slip joint and a saddle clamp

There is also an alternative which is a short piece of pipe with an expanded slip joint at both ends which does exactly the same job.

I have a full custom stainless exhaust for a felicia hatch will out live the car

Yeah me too, mines 2.5" from the turbo all the way through with straight through silencers.

Mine pinkskuds old car but been hit and written off so stripping it seams a waste :-(
