CCTV Camera possibly WiFi?

Featured Replies

Im looking for a camera to install to the outside of my house to monitor my driveway / front door as recently there have been alot of break-ins in my area and id like a deterrent + some way of recording the scumbags should they attempt it on my house!

Looking for the following features:

(WifI would be nice, ie. access via my phone to view when not there).

- a way of recording to a box or sd card

- budget of around £150

- Nightvision

any further suggestions on some nice features would be good, but i am wondering if anyone has experience with these, which manufacturers are good ect.

thanks for reading and any suggestions welcome :)

A decent camera with night vision could easily cost at least half of your budget.

I bought an 8 camera unit from them a couple of years ago - it wasn't cheap, but I have provided footage to the police a number of times :-)

CCTV Direct are now purely selling to trade only, which is a great shame.

That is a shame.  Still my employer has an account with them, so I might still my orders in :-)

I'd recommend a Sunluxy. Can get a 500gb DVR, 4 cameras with NVM and accessible VIA internet through browser or app for £99. A friend + me dad has one and its perfect for 24/7 recording.

have a look at Maplins, they sell ready made kits
