Fabia Pulling Left

Featured Replies

Morning all,

My misses has an 07 Fabia 1.6 Auto. When we bought it, it had 4 different tyres all round all at different tread depths. So I decided to replace all 4 tyres with Uniroyal Rainsport 3's.

On the old tyres the car drove striaght. Since having these 4 tyres on its pulled to the left. So if you left your hands off the wheel it goes left. I have tried it on a flat car park and on all roads which my MK5 Cupra is fine on. You can change lanes on motorways without even touching the steering.

I have swapped the front and rear tyres which has made no affect and have had the tracking done. The tracking was a little out but has made no difference.

Anyone got any ideas?

Theres a few threads about this. Is it a Monte Carlo?

Do a search mate. I think it comes down to the alignment of the car, skoda often try to cover it up by changing tyre manufacturer.

Seeing as the car is 7 years old i would forget anything about Monte Carlos & vRS Pulling left.

Mostly that is an issue on cars from new, and these are on 205 / 40 R 17 tyres.

Best have a Professional Centre with Trained staff that can use the Equipment, & that can Correctly check the cars Alignment

& do any adjustment do it,

and they need to inspect the Suspension & Steering thoroughly.

For wear and tear parts or damaged parts needing replaced.

Yep what im struggling to get round is the car was fine on random miss match tyres. As soon as i spend some money and replace them all this happens :S.

Oh yeah. I apologise. I missed the year haha.

That might lead you to believe that the only way a previous owner could have it drive correctly was with mismatched tyres.

(but that the kind of Solution Skoda Dealerships would come up with.)

So have the Mishmatched tyres been slightly different sizes and the suspension is a bit worn.

So maybe a bit more lean and wear on bushes, and seats.

A Correct alignment check needs doing, not just Tracking.

EDIT.

Sorry i never saw the Alignment Chart,

& still can not on the phone, (must go to Spec Savers, or Car Phone Warehouse)

An adult will be along soon hopefully that can tell you what it says and shows.

Just checked the runout lines on all 4 tyres which you linked to above and they are all on the outside of the tyre none on the inside making it un even.

Well I took it to my tyre place and they tracked it and it hasnt moved since Friday. I then took it to my mechanic who inspected it all and said he couldnt see anything suspension wise.

He thinks an engine mount under the battery has gone as he thinks the engine is moving to much.

Booked into Skoda as it has a year warranty on it.
