Crankshaft sensor

Featured Replies

Hi wondered if anyone could help, im trying to change the crankshaft sensor located behind the oil cooler, has anyone got some sort of guide on how to do this?

fiddly job i used a 3/8 socket with a wobble adapter to 1/4 extension and ratchet

need a multi point socket for the sensor itself and a large socket to removed the cooler (same size as the one to change the oil filter) have a bucket/cloth to catch the oil that will come out.

i did every bit of this job except remove the sensor as i found i didnt have the right socket to undo it. I have a pic of the bolt which defeated me if that will help,  i will post later.

don't need to remove oil cooler to do this

Not what I was told, but I did think it might be possible without doing so, if a little tight.
