I'm having a decat exhaust made up on the weekend on my octavia but don't no I need a silencer do they need Back pressure ?

No turbo cars dont need silencers for back pressure. Will be alot louder though.

The turbo creates back pressure for the engine. The turbo than wants a very free flowing exhaust to operate at its best

it had the TV tuner like you got in the L&K MK3 Superb. It's almost bothering me enough to think about swapping (although Octavia boot is more than big enough for me). Is this something you really appreciate or something you don't use that often. My one concern would be parking up and watching TV for a few hours and then the car not starting. Is battery drain a problem? Is it possible to upgrade the Columbus in the Octy to get a tuner. And is the aerial in the front windscreen noticeable?

Hi, I have a 2004 1.9 AWX TDI Last October I parked it up as since getting it (1 owner service history) it has had timing kit and new turbo and then the dmf and gearbox needed fixing I was unsure if I was going to keep it but I think I might now as only 105k. Question is should I syphon the fuel (1/4 tank) been sat since October or should I add biocide and top up? Whats the risk and how realistic is it of causing damage if I just run it on the diesel thats in there and do nothing to it? @r

Kodiaq 2026 PHEV I set the lane control to 'Off', set the alert control to 'off', and various other settings that I want. But when I next switch the car on, all my settings are lost and I have to re-set them. This is a complete pain in the ass. How do I save the settings so that they stay set?
