TDI150 - My Monday journey

Featured Replies

Hi

Just returned from the South of France - 699 miles in 13 hours (via Chunnel) - OK a long day for an old guy.

SE Hatch - approx. 7000 mileage - pretty heavily laden.

57.4 mpg and at least 300 miles at 80-85 mph (France of course).

Great car - comfortable trip - however if I could get this engine and 2wd in a new version of my previous Yeti  .....

Looks like a good mile eater and economical too, nice one. :)

Not bad at all.

I got similar MPG on a similar trip back from Germany in our 1.9 DSG.

Would be great if they had a bigger tank as the range would be amazing.

This would be my request too.

Although I can do ~1000km on long trips with a full-tank, I kind of expected a 70L tank like I had in the last Mondeo.

I guess they wont do it though because it adds an extra20-25kgs to the curb weight which will probably affect the CO2 rating which is a big attraction of company car schemes.
