My Octavia is a 61 plate with the Amundsen system. I have started to use the SD card slot to play music. Unfortunately, some individual tracks don't play. The omissions are not many but enough to be noticeable. The track will come up on the screen but the system moves to the next track and starts playing it. I have checked that all the tracks are recorded as MP3 files. I am using a SDHC card with 16GB and only an couple of GB have been taken up with the music. Before maxing the card I wanted to try and find a solution for this problem.

I had this problem on my Bolero. I found that certain tracks that had been "ripped" using VBR(variable bit rate) would not play. The answer was to re-rip them using a CBR(constant bit rate) eg 128, 192 or 320 kbs. Hopefully you still have the original media.

Thanks ufitsy. My settings in ITunes look like the ripping was done using CBR. I have the media so I'll try to re-rip using a higher rate and see if that helps.
