Ive got a 2.0tfsi on a 08 plate - I've been told to get an intercooler fitted but I want to know if anyone else has done it and if so did u notice any difference what so ever ?

You can upgrade your standard Front Mounted Intercooler to one from an Audi S3. Alternatively; you can look at other options from the likes of: Forge (Twintercooler); APR; Wagner etc. Bit of research will help you figure out what you want.

Why did they tell you to fit one?

 

I have a late model (plastic tank) Golf R / S3 fitted to my elegance but that was going from 32mm to 39mm core.  Yours might be 32mm but is more likely 38mm.  The R/S3 unit is a better item but not that amazing that it's worth the faffing about.  The next step would be a GBP200 ebay copy unit.

You do already have one and its sufficient enough for stage 1. Unless you plan on more?

I do plan on doing a few mods soon , eg full stainless , remap , lower it 50mm , possibly road cams and bigger injectors , so I do have a. Few plans at the min
