Diamond Cut Alloy Wheel Repairer Needed :)

Featured Replies

I went and clipped the kerb, and damaged the alloy wheel on my new Golf R......grrrrr!!!!!

The wheels are the 18" Cadiz, and are diamond cut.

I have taken a 2-3mm deep chunk (about 10mm long) along the very rim on the wheel.

The problem is I only know of one place in Hull that repairs them properly (that is on a CNC lathe), and they reckon the wheel needs welding to raise the area before it can be machined. They can't do the welding :(

So does anyone know of an alloy wheel repairer near Hull that can repair Diamond cut alloys, and have the equipment to weld first?

Or alternatively, somewhere further afield that I can courier the wheel to. Luckily got the spare wheel, so could limp around on for a week :(

Highly recommended by a good few friends of mine although I haven't used them my self

Don't know about repaires to Diamond cut , but worth a phone call, Branch in Leeds

OUCH !

hate the thought of damaging a wheel makes me CRINGE !

You need SEM Alloys in Sunderland.

They specialise in diamond cut / polished alloy repairs and have all the equipment on site.

I travelled from York to use them and glad I did, fantastic results. Don't expect free coffee, wi-fi or a waiting room. It's a couple of industrial units on a shady looking estate but they know their stuff.

They also have sets of temporary wheels to keep you mobile for a few days whilst they do the work.
