Steering wheel/column extension spacer

Featured Replies

Hi all

Recently had some physio done on a shoulder problem which has resulted in a change of posture with my shoulders pulled back into a better position. This has resulted in me discovering just how short my arms are! The steering wheel was at full extension already so I've now got the choice of sitting in a very upright position or having my legs bent more than ideal so I can reach the steering wheel comfortably.

Would anyone know if it's possible to get hold of a spacer to fit behind the steering wheel to extend the reach slightly (say 20 - 30mm)? I know these are available for aftermarket steering wheels and I will be getting one for the OEM wheel on my Elise as well, haven't managed to find one for the Octavia or other VW/Seat derivatives.

Cheers

Chris

Only option would be to fit an aftermarket steering wheel. The boss moves it away a touch but you can buy the snap off boss's which will move it out more if needed.
