Octavia vrs bolero speakers distorted

Featured Replies

Hi iam new on this forum I have recently bought an octavia vrs limited edition and the speakers are distorted only sometimes though. Yesterday I could notice it then today it all seems fine even with the same songs on as yesterday. I am really confused and don't want to be buying speakers if it's maybe the head unit itself? Any help would be great

did you have anything in the door bins that could have rattled and moved today. I know it sounds daft but it happened to me and I proved it by moving stuff in the bins that rattled and buzzed again!

Nothing in door pockets mate it's realy annoying starting to think it's maybe the CD player itself???

Use the fader /balance to listen to each individual speaker. If it sounds different on each it might be damaged speakers. Its unlikely to be the head unit in my experience. Is it ok on the radio and duff on the CD ? if so its not the speakers. My old car has one distorted door speaker, I had to take the door card off and put my hifi speaker across the terminals to definitely rule out the head unit, but once I did a speaker replacement was an easy cheap fix.
