Hi guys doin engine change and as i took clutch off on dmf it fell to bits so while its apart i might aswell do smf conversion but aint a clue what to get. Anyone got any part numbers please and anyone baught the ebay kits and rate them or they a no go

Ecs stage 1 kit from awesome gti. Its basically a vr6 clutch and g60 flywheel really good bit of kit

Don't buy off techniclutch. Their clutches are supposed to be rubbish. Google is your friend.

Too pricey for me atm as ive spent over 600 on her in a week and running out of funds and fast but got one sorted

037105273c is the single mass flywheel g60 . That's the one I used.

Are these kits hard to fit? 

Depends how good you are with the spanners really, its all bolt on parts so in that respect its very straight forward

As long as you have the right tools and knowledge to know whats what on a car straight forward

nope box comes out relatively easy

No was doin a engine change lol but clutch seems ever so light to press not sure if its from the conversion and im not used to it or something else. But she runs

Done mine on Monday. Light as a feather. Changed the oil too and fitted an old shape beetle gearbox drain plug it has a magnet in too catch swarf.

Yh all seems good now after driving for a while and already used to it now
