armrest

Featured Replies

Anyone using the centre armrest that fit in the cupholder at the back of the console?

They're cheaper than the bracket type that you screw in but I don't want to waste money if they're crap.

I'm not overly keen in drilling and screwing one in place.

Try Milotec's.  It slips under the rear most bolts on the seat runner leaving the cupholder available to use and requires no drilling cutting etc.

I've had this product since I bought the car over a year ago and it's great.  It slides fore and aft, is height adjustable, lifts up out the way and has a big, lined storage compartment inside.  You can also deconstruct the padded top and (if you can find it) replace the fabric with one to match the car or with leather.

Does it not get in the way of the handbrake?

I've fitted these to both our Citigos.

I drilled out the screw holes slightly as it's not easy to fit the fixing screws that secure the base to the hinged top part.

I also used some self adhesive tape on the part that fits in the cup holder for a snug fit.

They're OK for the cost in my opinion.

Amy photos of it in place?

looks a bit bulky from the fitting instructions on the website?

Not really, like I say it flips up and back so it's completely out of the way of the handbrake. I have mine adjusted at its furthest rearward setting and I can reach the handbrake just fine with it down too.

Thanks for the replies, still not sure what to go for.

Professor, do you have to cut the console to fit the milotec one?

Bilun777, how secure are the cup holder ones? As you mention you added tape I presume they'rea bit wobbly?

Absolutely no cutting of anything, no screwing into plastic trim anywhere and no damage at all.  Simply unbolt the rear two seat runners, slide in the armrest unit and retighten the bolts. That's it.

I'll see if I can upload a photo (no idea how - bear with me) but its not bulky at all.  When I compared it to all the alternatives, it had the slimmest 'legs', the strongest construction and the best range of adjustment.

I have added a photo of the armrest (taken from the rear seat view) so you can see how it fits.

The photo is in my photo gallery which I assume you view by clicking on my profile picture...

Can't see how to copy it into a message though

Seen it there. it looks pretty good, better than i thought.

Which make do you not recommend as there are several?

My Milotec doesn't wobble at all - steel legs bolted under seat runners means its rock solid.
