I own Octavia II 1Z 2006 Automatic

1.6 MPI 8V, petrol/E85* 75 kW (102 PS) @ 5600 rev., 148 Nm @ 3800 rev., SOHC, EU4 (2DDK*, EU2*)

 

I planned to replace standard DVD with another one like this , This one supporting multifunction steering wheel, I would like to take advantage of this.

The question is.

 

Is it possible to replace NONE multifunction steering wheel with multifunction steering wheel?

Yes, it's possible & has been done.

There are a few threads about it & some folk have had to replace the small electronic box in the steering column.

googling might help with some clues.
