I noticed today that the rubber seal that the hatch rests on is split in at least two places.  How easy would it be to replace it myself as a DIY job?  Would it also explain the wind noise I'm getting from the rear of the car when travelling at more than 50mph or is that just a part of the Skoda experience? 

The noise from the rear could be the quarter windows in the rear doors, common problem unfortunately. But there is a how to on here somewhere on how to fix it.

Did mine a few months ago, fairly easy, cost about £40.
