Loss of power after standing for 3 weeks

Featured Replies

Hello, I run a 2003 Fabia 1.9 TDi. I drove the car to Heathrow 3 weeks ago with no problems at all, on returning, there is a loss of power, feels like the turbo is not working. Could this happen due to standing? Could it be something as simple as a blocked/damaged filter? Thanks.

Possibly the actuator sticking, check out the mr muscle fix maybe?

same thing happened to my bro's 530d 55 plate was told the turbo was gone so he had it for £2500 took him bout an hour to strip it down ect and he had BOOST again

Hmmm, if I knew what the actuator was and where it is I might try a Mr Muscle fix!  Weirdly, I have just taken the car out in similar conditions to yesterday and absolutely no problems at all.......

So for now, I think I will leave well alone!

give it a blast, mine does this when i start it after being off shore for 3 weeks, let it warm up and give it a blast down a dual carraige way (only doing 70 mph obviously) should be fine
