Gear linkage reset trouble

Featured Replies

Jersey my gear linkage yesterday using that video that guy made, kinda made a balls of it and the drill bit I used as a locking pin for the geartsick fell down the little hole after I had done it -.- anyone have any ideas about how to get it out? Haven't even attempted yet as I was in a rush to get it back together, not sure if I can access it through the car or the linkage will need to be deconstructed ha. Cheers

A small magnet?

ill give that a go !! And I will 'next' time

A very thin magnetic screwdriver?

You don't have to get it back through the same hole. I did exactly the same, used a magnetic pick up tool.

There's another 'way in' just can't remember details as did it last year. Ours doesn't look the same as the vid, I may have had to remove the centre console, but def nothing more than that (as I wouldn't have been able to do it)

I use a mini screwdriver to do it now, the body on one is the right size but the end is bigger and can't fall through

Oh, blu-tak didn't work for me btw
