Anyone got a genuine octavia parcel shelf blind? How does it fit?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Just bought one brand new of eBay, but I fear it may be missing a fitting kit? I have just the blind, looks great quality, has spring clips each end so I guess easy to remove? Had a look in car and nothing obvious it clips to so I guess I'm missing bits?

Any ideas on what I need please?

Thanks

If you mean the extending, horizontal roller blind from an estate which covers up the bootspace, it is a one piece that just slots in one end, compresses slightly to allow the other end to pop in. That's it! If you're trying to fit one of these into a hatch... good luck with that!! :D

Might be worth showing a link to the auction so we can see what you've bought and check it if it's missing a part/broken.

I think he means the sun blind that retracts into the parcel shelf on the hatch.

Similar to this...

Or do you mean this one for the estate that covers the boot contents?

It's the hatch one, like in silvers picture. It's a genuine octavia one that's why I snapped it up. But has no fitting kit.

Think I've worked out I need to cut slots in parcel shelf as it has a spring clip to allow it to slot into... Something?

I guess I'm just missing hooks now to fit in boot lid? Has anyone fitted one of these before?

Cheers guys

You need to modify the parcel shelf and you'll also need the hooks to fit to the top of the rear window, see here...

Someone in the above thread was able to persuade their local dealer to supply them with the fitting guide including the template needed to modify the parcel shelf.

The blind itself is part number: DEA610001, and Skoda make specific reference to it being a dealer fit option only.

Amazing, thank you for your help mate. I can do all that myself, just need to find some hooks, or knock sum up at work!

With a bit of thought, I think I can work out the slots needed to cut in shelf.. Won't be too hard and should look neat.

Cheers
