Ordered start of September car came 20th November but due to a dealer mistake with my private plate I'm still waiting to pick the car up

Any news Kegs? I have just over 3 weeks to go if the delivery date doesn't change.. A last minute change would be disappointing (unless it moved closer of course).

No still waiting the car is here it came 4 days early bit the plate is in the hands of the dvla so who knows how long it will take

Ordered my Superb Estate 170 DSG, on 31st of October, week 44. All the extras available in Sweden (except for the sportschassis and 4x4). 

It was built last week, week 49. So, from ordered to built = 6 weeks.

 

And the delivery would take place in January, week 2 (have my hopes up for week 52 dough=)). All in all, aprox 11 weeks from ordered to delivered to costumer in Sweden.

After built to delivered how long did it take you peeps? And in what country?

Quick update (or lack of) still have a build week of the 1st week in January - so not moved forward :-(

Pick mine up on the 16th dealer still has not sorted the plate so it will go on retention and the car has been registered on a 64 plate for the time being

Mine too has been delayed. The reason I have been given is that there is a delay in transit, overseas to dealership. This is a minimum 1 week delay so not too bad at the moment. Has anyone else been told the same?

Ordered mine on the 16th, was told would be arriving some time in January as a car to my spec had already been built. Just need to sort out transferring my plate to the new vehicle, so the DVLA may be a limiting factor, but we'll see!

It's a long way by boat to Australia. I ordered mine in early April. It arrived mid October and was delivered to me 30/10. I was watching it and monitoring it's progress. You can log into the shipping company and if you type the chassis (Vin Number) you can watch the ports that the boats stop off at. My car came over to Australia on a ship called the "Lavender Ace".

Good News - My car has been built, and awaiting shipping!! - the wait is nearly over :-)

Received an order update. Now even later! 16th Jan expected delivery. :-(

Mine arrived at the dealers on the 23rd, DVLA retention certificate later that day but can't get round until the 29th to sort out the registration details. Should hopefully have the car by the end of next week, the wait is killing me!

How long does shipping normally take after build?

I guess it depends on when they've scheduled a container ship etc, but I placed my order on the 16th on a pre-built car and it was at the dealers by the 23rd, so I suppose transit can be very quick and most of any delay is on the build side.

Can take up to 3 weeks I was told. Mine took 2.5

Thanks - was told on Monday 22nd it had been built (although could have been before trying to get hold of the dealer is hard work) - so hoping it will be very soon.

UPDATE!

Picking up my car in 3 hours! Saw it yesterday a bit, had to get down to the dealer haha. Here is a pic; 4.54 miles on the clock.

Ordered 31 October2014, build 8th december, delivered 9th January 2015.

Another delay! I was told to expect it on the 29th Jan. As it is nearing the new 15 plate I requested a delivery on the 2nd of March (what's another 4 weeks!). All confirmed.

Latest on the delivery! The car will be delivered on the 64 plate this Thursday. OE 64*** Cannot wait.

I haven't seen a Superb in the metal grey (other than images).

I went for the onyx interior but I have seen photos of the same exterior colour with creme interior which has grown on me so hope I won't be disappointed?
