Fitting new turbo

Featured Replies

What new bits should I be buying when fitting a new turbo, I know I'll need a new gasket and I seen something about oil feed/return lines or something?

At a minimum I'd be getting gaskets & washers for the oil feed and return. I'd personally buy a new oil feed pipe. Then inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets, downpipe gasket, new nuts, possible EGR blank gasket etc...

As for the oil feed pipe, I'd definitely buy a new one. It's not worth splashing out on a new turbo if your oil feed line has a blockage in or something!

Do you already have the new turbo? When I purchased mine all new gaskets came included & it even had a syringe of oil that you add to prime the turbo.

I was going to buy the manifold gaskets and a new oil return line but think I'll get a new feed line as well then... Cheers !

I'm picking the turbo up on Friday I've message the guy who's doing it too see what I will get with it

Just out of interest, what turbo are you getting and where are you getting it from?

I bought a recon and needed to buy all gaskets which was easy enough from Darkside Developments
