Tandem pump

Featured Replies

How do you replace the tandem pump, is it easy?

Is it leaking?

If so there is a way to fix without replacing it.

I'd say a 3 out of 5 job maybe?

It is quite easy, but fiddly if anything.

As said why do you want to replace it, they are very reliable.

Mines leaking from the end cap, they don't make gaskets or seals for them yet as my mate who's a tech at skoda couldn't get one, so I just bought another pump

Mine also leaked from the end plate on my previous car (Cordoba PD130).

I wasn't paying for a new pump so got some black sealant that's oil and fuel proof.

Removed the end plate and cleaned it up etc. Applied gunk and refitted.

Worked like a charm and no more leak.

Yeah I've done that and it's still leaking so I got a second hand one for £45 :)
