I have a Elegance so it has a press down lid thingy but is there any mods for it? Can it be turned into a phone/satnav holder with a little modification or has anone done anything else with it?

I put a Garmin sat nav in mine as per this post.  It still works well.

You can limit the distance it opens to suit any device you have, that way it clips in (snug fit).

You have a Stage 1 CR. How on earth does the phone stay in there. First junction and my phone would be on the hand brake!

Lol if its tilted at the right angle its ok when just pottering about. Rule is, if kids are in the car the phone is safe. If its just me then i just throw it in the door. Lol

yep, i semi-permanently mounted a garmin in there on my old fl, wired in so it boote up/shut down with the ignition.  worked well.
