Oil in the spark plugs

Featured Replies

Just changed spark plugs and they were covered in oil but engine is running fine is something to go wrong soon ie valve stems or piston rings [emoji17]

Which part of the plugs were covered in oil?

The electrode tips, or the porcelain tops?

Because this can be two very different diagnoses....

Hi , I had similar symptoms a few months ago. Firstly oil was found on spark plugs. Then started to stutter before engine management light came on . Turned out to be rocker cover gasket. Since I have changed it no issues. Purchased part from TPS in Birmingham for around £25 off the top of my head.
