Cheers guys. I believe he's chosen one now, but said I get the say on my future van, so I'll come back to this thread when the time comes. Many thanks for your help <3

Just out of interest, what did he get?

Well it seems I've been switched so I'm doing a route that has less parcels out in the countryside now. I'm gonna be getting a newish vivaro apparently. I'm happy because they seem to have something to play music from a USB or phone :D.

Enjoy waiting for a new DMF & welcome to the VX van fold.

I'll race you for pinkslips. If I win, I take the money AND the respect.

I don't know how much bhp my soon to be van will have. I imagine it will be able to defeat a bugatti veyron though.

Just hope the new ones have got a different gearbox from the old, or thatll be destroying itself before long

Havent been inside the new one tbh. It cant be worse than the old though hahs

Yeah fingers crossed it works well and doesn't fall apart. I've been in a little transit for the past couple of days on this middle of nowhere route and to be fair it really handles abuse well  (farmers have horrible driveways), hopefully my van will be as good!

Dont hold your breath.

A transit is about twice the price for a reason

Looks like theres something on next weeks Watchdog about the new Vivaros.

I think it says 8pm or 9pm next Thursday.

Thought it might be of interest to the OP as hes now got one/ getting one. :).

Oh dear :( . As things stand at the moment things are a quite hectic, so I'm not even sure if he'll keep that order. I'll watch if though if I remember. What time is watchdog normally on?

I think when I get a choice I shall pick the transit. We've been driving in the "old" shaped one down loads of rubbish country lanes and farmers tracks at fairly quick speeds. The transit just piled through lanes that would snap the springs on my octavia in 5 seconds, it was quite impressive. It also has an AUX port for the stereo so I am a fan :D

I miss my old mk5 slow and loud but he'll it was rugged.

A lot better than the vivaro but the transits still arent massively good.

My old boss had a transit sport and lives on a farm. It was knocking abit when i left and the fogs kept flashing with the indicators n that.

Generally miles better than a vivaro though

A transporter is the best of the bunch IMO.

As my dad learnt farm tracks quickly knacker out the best of the van, he's had no difference in parts wearing out throughout the different makes.

Its harsh on anything.

I drove the fabia down at about 2mph avoiding holes.

I was late for work most days.

By the time his courier vans reach 120k they've had 2 clutches and flywheels and a suspension rebuild as a minimum normally due to wear and tear

Courier vans get treated with the least amount of care ever though.

The throttle is a switch. On. Or off.

Yeah it did have a couple of electrical problems (funnily enough with the lights), but considering the way it was treated the mechanical bits were doing great. I didn't know you can get "sport" vans. Those two words just don't go together at all :D

Yeah haha. My old bosses was just like the pic below (pics off google).

140bhp 2.2 diesel. I used to love overtaking boy racers in it haha.

Had to change those low profile tyres to something with a bigger sidewall though, cos with all the weight in and an aggressive driving style (the boss) down farm tracks, they kept going bang
