I have recently polished an audi tt strut brace and my inlet manifold. il tell you now, its hard work, but to me its worth it. I love to see the finished article, it makes me smile when I see it as I know I did that lol.

for the inlet I bought a black and decker mouse and used 80/120/180 grit to get what I could off and then all the rest by hand using 240/320/400/600/800/1000/1200/1500/2000 wet and dry. then I used a drill with a polishing mop and some autosol.

hope that helps.

Do you rate the black and decker.iv been looking at sanders and came across it the other day. Yh the rocker cover looks harder than the manifold too lol. U got any pics?

I still haven't figured out how to put pics on here. but there are some on the facebook page. the mouse was ok, you couldn't get in to all the knooks and crannies though. but it did only cost £15.nearly gave me vibration white finger though lol.

I would of thought the rocker cover would be easier, I will find out soon enough lol.

Did you use wood sand paper on the mouse? Im looking at the bosch psm100. Struggling to find metal sand paper on amazon.

Pro polishers in Witney will polish an inlet and rocker cover for about £40-50!

I did my own and spent about 35-45hrs on it at work when it was quiet,I'll tell you what, never again!

Haha
