My First DPF Scan

Featured Replies

Did first scan to check DPF, car is on 53k now,

Not 100% sure what all the readings mean, but perhaps someone can clarify:

"Successful regens" = 0 - does this mean that the dpf has had no successful regens?

Are the rest of the readings normal?

Thanks

That can't be right, the ECU has only Requsted 4 regens in 53k.........

TBH I can't say I ever trust those readings much as they are not measured but only 'calculated'

The only thing that is measured is back pressure and the rest is calculated using back pressure readings, fuel injection quantities and a few other parameters.

Check your differential pressure value - to give you an idea 600mbar is blocked up and around 20mbar or less is empty

To be honest, I think I may have been in the wrong section when reading this.

I read somewhere that engine 068 is where the dpf stuff is at, I know I couldn't find this particular number anywhere, and I cannot remember which section I got these from

Perhaps if you could give me an idiots guide to where the dpf readings are, I will recheck?

Thanks

Do you have a CR engine? PD engines store the info differently - in group 068 in measuring blocks. With newer CR engined cars it is accessed through advanced measuring blocks.

Thanks I have CR engine, will have another look. Is it best to have engine running?

You don't need the engine running.
