Just bought a Monte Carlo and frankly cannot wait to get it!

Hi folks

Just ordered a new 5 door MC Citigo in white - should have it in 3 weeks

Trading in a Superb Outdoor Tour de France 140 4x4 and although i'll miss the Superb, we have another large-ish family car (Yeti Tour de France 140 4x4), i'll look forward to saving buckets of cash each month and on a year on year basis on insurance and fuel costs.

My sister has a Citigo but i've never driven one, never sat in one and i'm going purely on the road test reviews of it and the opinions of fellow Briskodians!

To be honest, i fancied a 3 door red one but white 5 door was on offer and i have a dodgy back so in terms of chucking son in car seat in back to take him to nursery, it was a no brainer.

I'm looking forward to the funniest things - the PID, the flat perforated steering wheel, the gloss black dash, the black headlining, the 6 speakers and the 3 cylinder noise.  Think it'll remind me of 2 cars i had a long time ago - an MG Metro and a Subaru Justy.

oh, and it'll do 18k per year and i hope i like it!

Here's hoping i like it.  340miles just to get it (and then the same back) - i stay in Montrose and i'm going to middle England to get it.

I'll be lurking here from now on!

Anybody tried to fit a 184 diesel in one? lol.

Cheers, Dave

BossFox has fitted a 2.0tsi in one and a 4x4 system :)

That's some going!

I 'downgraded' from a 200bhp Mondeo Titanium X to my Citigo Monte Carlo. I reckon I am saving some £1200 a year by doing so and whilst I miss the acceleration I enjoy driving the Citigo far more, because you need to drive it, not just turn the wheel and press the pedals - if you know what I mean.

That's some going!

It ill be when it's finished. Just don't hold your breath!

If you do hold your breath you'll be well past 6 feet under :x

I'm the same as you. I have never driven one and just went off road tests.

I've had and still have some very fast cars but wanted a citigo for commuting. I've gone for a monte in Red 5 door, although I am planning an engine conversation from a new turbod Polo.

I just can't leave cars alone.
