I've be watching a few threads about hids on here over the weeks.

as anybody used the new 55w ones which are available now. They are ment to be better than the 35w which are on the market.

Apparently there are less error messages with the 35w sets, I've always good for 35w so can't comment on the difference although when speaking with the guys at carmodshop they reckon there is no real difference.

They will fit as long as you get the h7, beware of cheap Hong Kong products though.

I've been using 55w ones in projector headlights (albeit on a mk1 Fabia) for a couple of years now. They are very good, lots of usable light and I've never been flashed or stopped by the police with them. I wouldn't use any less powerful ones now.

Oh and they are the really cheap Chinese ones, paid like £30 quid for them!

using the generic ebay 55w HID in 5000k, great light output, no problems whatsoever with them for the 2 years they have been fitted. last set was a 35w without the inline ballast capacitor and it sometimes failed to ignite on the first go. the 55W slim ballasts with the capacitor ensures the bulb ignites every time.
