My new VRs Estate is coming next month.

I've opted for the tow bar preperation but could do with some help on which detachable tow bar to get ( Westfalia etc ) and the easiest wiring loom.

Some part numbers would be a massive help.

Warranty = dealer fit. Westfalia is the official item and is removable.  Do a search as there is a recent thread covering this with pix etc.

Go for a detachable. I got a dealer fit fixed swan neck and the ball is very tight to the bumper. I also went for twin electrics. Just make sure they do the coding as mines going back next week

Did they use the correct mount holes?  It's the same bar for Octy, Golf and Leon.  The latter 2 are shorter at the rear and use a different set of mounting holes at the sides.

If the ball is tight to the bumper I bet they used the wrong holes (don't ask me how I know!). Easy to fix though, no need to remove the bumper.
