Combi rear rub strip removal?

Featured Replies

As title really, can the rear black rub strip on the vrs estate be removed? Or a guide on how to?

I want to remove it so it can be painted.

One of the few pieces I've never removed! The front one just levers out at the sides then pulls off. I imagine the rear is similar.

Just pull it a bit, see what happens! :D

Im pretty sure i saw a build thread on here for an estate and they just popped it off

That trim is there to protect the bumper from snags and the like when loading things into the boot.  I wouldn't remove it unless you never plan to shift about large or awkward shaped objects...

OT: get that rear exhaust hanger sorted

I know why it's there haha, I'm removing all black plastics so they can be painted gloss black like my front grille so I don't have to keep treating them.

That's an old pic, when I just got my vrs two years ago it's sorted now!
