Well after a good couple of months of reading this site, weighing up the pros and cons of life, last night I picked up a Skoda Fabia VRS, it was an emotional fairwell to my Punto HGT which I'd done 39,400 miles in, that car was a good friend to me. Please tell me other people get emotional when they change their car!

Anyway, I'm now the proud owner of a 2004 Silver fabia VRS, the previous owner has had the door handles and door strips colour coded, and they had it chipped as well, apart from that it's standard. So far I've done 25 miles included a trip to Tesco to fill up with Diesel, must have said diesel in my head a dozen times as I pulled upto the pump! Still waiting on my personal number plate to be transfered, when that's done you'd never know it wasn't brand spanking new.

Taking it very careful at the moment whilst I get used to my new car, the Punto was a quick car but needed to be worked to get it to upto speed, the VRS seems the opposite, I look at the accelarator and the speed limit is history, must be carefully, had a clean licence since day one, some 10 years nearly.

So it's hello from me, I've been reading for a while, now I'm an owner I'll hopefully be posting a bit as well.
