Columbus Map Update

Featured Replies

Have a Columbus Sat Nav fitted in my '10 Scout, the dealer updated it to take full uk postcodes in early '11.  Thought it about time to update the maps as found myself apparently driving in no man's land in Poole a few weeks ago.   Just checked the cost for the maps.....£190....this can't be correct can it?

Anyone one know of a way round the above astronomic price?

I was told by Horton Skoda at my last service that they can update to the latest maps and firmware version for £30.

Certainly a cheaper option than buying the disks to do it yourself, and if the dealer buggers it up...

Thanks for that, strangely i will be picking up my MK111 Scout from Horton's in the near future,  I will be keeping the MK11 so I  will definitely explore that avenue.

£30 is cheap and fair in my opinion.  Believe it or not £190 is significantly cheaper than the figure given to me by my dealer...

If it was £30 a shot, I'd be going to the local dealer to get mine done. But, unfortunately, not all dealers are created the same!

Apparently VW dealers are cheaper / fairer than Skoda ones on this - and the maps are the same. Might be worth a shot.
