Amundsen+ / Climatronic interface failure

The Amundsen+ unit works fine (but don't ask me to comment on its design features and its placement.)   However, it often doesn't  receive communications from the "Climatronic" controls and the hands-free Bluetooth connection becomes inoperative, as does the rear parking display.    It's the dreaded INTERMITTENT fault.  I get pop-up messages across the screen, even when it's switched off (eg "air conditioning settings cannot be displayed" or "optical parking system is not available at this time")

Additionally, when switched off, the dark grey screen goes off frequently and completely (ie black - no clock display) and the side buttons illumination goes on and off too - distracting at night when these things are flicking on and off randomly every few seconds.

Benfield Skoda (Newcastle) investigated in October 2013 and said that they couldn't find a problem, but it recurred 24 hours after getting the car back.   Last month they tried a bit harder and declared that the Amundsen+ unit was "faulty".....so it was replaced under warranty (so they said - I didn't get any documented evidence of this).  The problem is now even worse than before.

One last point, this really only happens when the vehicle is moving.  I'm tempted to suggest a "loose connection" but I shudder to think of what form, and complexity, the connections take behind that panel.  Has anyone else come across this problem?  Life was much simpler with three rotary heating/ventilation knobs!

I've just had a similarly intermittent issue dealt with. It proved difficult to demonstrate the specific problem (in the presence of a tech) and I eventually made a video of the issue. This was accepted by the main dealer and replacement parts were ordered, and the issue resolved
