Just remove it (assuming its broken) and buy a blanking kit for each end.

I did suggest that but I'm being told I need it? My mechanic doesn't believe in all this EGR removal lol

Is there a blanking kit available for it?

Would I get an EML if I did so?

Thanks

Jordan

Get second hand EGR from someone off here who's done egr delete

Your mechanic sound odd to me. Just remove the egr and map it out

Is it definitely safe to remove it and Map it out? Definitely the easier way. Can the EML be mapped out of a BLT engine?

Cheers

Yup 100% safe and yes that can be fully mapped out

Hasn't he got a BLT one?

Those of you who are not NI based should remember that Northern Ireland has a fully government operated MOT system - one of the strictest in the world and they are quite likely to fail an EU IV BLT engine for not having a working EGR valve. The test stations are manned by civil servants and they are very straightforward and do the tests very thoroughly indeed. It makes the GB system look like a bunch of cowboys (which undoubtedly some of them are).

So yes, I would replace it rather than delete it in this case.
