Is my laptop still folding when logged off?

Featured Replies

Just wondering. My Delll Inspiron is down in the lounge, on (power hooked up to mains) and screen shut. When I open it I get the option for my profile, click on it and its folding. If I shut the screen again (which I have) does it continue to fold even though its logged out?

It used to just shut down when I shut the screen before, but my mate tweaked it so it just logs off and I can get back in straight away.

As an aside - Nice to see the folding still going on.

If you are running the console client, then yes it runs when logged off. If you are using the one that puts the red flower in the bottom then no it doesnt and exits when logged off.

Was wondering whats going on Jason, you havent submitted any WU's for a while.

Well, I've been trying to not leave my main PC on 24/7 and the laptop has been off for a while.

I notice though when I login, the client is folding (eg 1975/2500) straight away - None of this "building up to it" lark it usually does when booting up. Got me wondering.

Trying to run from the new boys who are chasing you up the leader board ;) ??

If you run it as a service it will be 'always on' apart from when running on battery power if that's how you configure it.
