Squeak From Boot Area.

Featured Replies

I get a squeak from the rear, in damp weather. Previous posts from a couple of years ago suggests it a wet boot seal moving again boot door & I should lengthen my boot nipples (located on each corner). I tried this & 2 things happened. 1) maxidot said my boot was open when it was closed (I'm guessing I'd wound it out too much). 2) The flipping squeak was still there - lol. It think it could be seals though, makes sense its this now I've really tried to hear where its coming from.

Can anyone else offer guidance on this subject.

Found out it was the rarb - too dry. Garage stripped it off & applied lube/grease. All good now.

J306TD beat me to it. It gave off a creaking sound approx 18 months after getting it fitted.
