What years your car?

If there was a 'Recall'  they would contact Registered Owners with the Cars with Heated Seats that may be affected,

(fire & injury risk.)

It is yet another Service Campaign and most have to be in at a Skoda Dealer before they are told about it,

& even then, or when some ask, they are told there is no 'Recall'.

Seeing as it is a Safety Critical matter, Skoda should do recalls. & not Secret Service Campaigns.

Some cars are now more than 12 months on from Skoda knowing about this, yet many owners do not know.

leobella,

Has your car required to have  the 'Service Campaign' Field Action on the DQ200 DSG,

to change the Synthetic Oil to Mineral & an ECU Update?

george

Another safety-related non-recall service campaign? VAG are getting a little comical now.

I had one of mine set on fire in my old mk1 fabia vrs

Car is a 2012(November)cthe engine thanks

?

Are you on a Service Plan, or paying for Variable Servicing.?

It is just the Service Schedule is 3 years for the First Brake Fluid Change, so next year.

The problem with Variable Servicing and the car not doing high mileage annually is

the Volkswagen Group only doing Service Campaigns, like on the Heated Seats & DSG & it can be a long time before a car sees a dealer.

Oddly cars are on Skoda Dealership forecourts right now & Service Campaign Field Actions are not done before

a new owner might buy that car.

Hi,I am paying for Variable and brake fluid change and mot due in one year(as I do low mileage and no problems with car at all I am happy)

I had the same thing, they done my front seats during scheduled service but without telling me beforehand or without being notified in any way shape or form. Seats were working perfectly fine.

They've done the work, seats are working fine albeit they stank to high heavens for a while while some **** was apparently burning off ?

I like by back toasty and will be having heated seats in all my future cars :)

Completely unaware of this. Will have a word when my car goes in a week friday!

Thanks!
