Centre box removal VRS

Featured Replies

So I've been to to simply get the centre box removed and replaced with a pipe? Who's done just this on it's own? And what are the results?

Also can anyone point me in the right direction of the pipe/parts I need?

Thanks

Zach

Zach you are asking about removing the box on a vRS but your car is listed as a Monte TDI. Can you confirm which motor you have?

Sorry yes on the vrs. I've not got the monte any more need to change it! Not had chance yet sorry

If nobody pops along soon with some info, there are several threads in this section already.

one with good pics of a DIY.

They might come up with a Search or Google.

I am a little perplexed as i assumed a Milltek Catback was from cutback, it would appear its from centre box back.

Confused a little here.

Yep it's abit of a con that one. I had a Milltek on my previous Fabia vRS and was quite surprised to see it started after the middle box and not the cat!

Did sound ok tho.

yeah but when you're paying best part of £550 for it, how can they justify that cost.

Also more importantly has anyone ever removed the centre box with a Miltek????

Haven't heard of anyone doing that but can't see it would be a problem. After all the Milltek down pipe is removing the middle box too (plus decat or sport cat).

If you are after a Milltek cat back id fit that first and see how you like it before removing the middle box as it is already significantly louder.

The Milltek isn't cheap but it is of good quality and their after sales support is excellent.
