Ordered a 'Package D'

Featured Replies

Ordered today Package D - 'HEX-USB+CAN'

Reason I went for that one rather than the cable + software activation is coz my laptop gets rebuilt regularly, and I have my private laptop as well, plus a few really, really old laptops :)

Kinda hoping one of the oldies will be able to run the software without issues and then trying my hand at fitting the laptop in the boot as a permanent logging device :)

I've got the same thing, only the serial version. The lead is just long enough to reach round the back of the driver's seat to a laptop strapped into the front passenger seat, where you can get at it to click the mouse and put a marker in the log.

If the laptop will run with the lid closed (most won't), and it's thin enough, you could stow it in the pocket on the back of the driver's seat. You just need to make sure there's enough life in the batteries to last for the whole log, otherwise you might lose the lot when the power goes.

That interface lead is 6' 8" (2m) long.

Just hoping it will arrive soon - anyone ever ordered from them, what's the delivery time?

I ordered from Ross-Tech on a Friday lunchtime and the item was delivered on the following Monday, ie in just 3 days. Not bad. :D

Hmm - 24/09 ordered - slightly over a week ago. Will wait till end of this week I suppose, then give them a ring. Thanks :)

Woot - VAGCOM received. HEX+CAN USB version.

Software downloaded, not registered as yet, will give it a try this weekend I suppose, see what it shows :D

Have fun! The latest software is very easy to use in that any changes you want to make are explained in a dialogue box.
