Hi all,  I need to replace the thermostat on my 2010 Octavia  1,6 tdi but can't find the housing for it anywhere... can anyone point me in the right direction ?

If you locate the top hose of the radiator and follow back towards the engine you will arrive at where the thermostat lives or near as dammit! Probably quite well hidden and tucked out the way. It will be housed in something that clearly comes apart to be able to removed and refitted.

 

I'm not familiar with the 1.6 tdi motor so this is best and easiest way to find it :-)

Thanks Steve,  I found where it is but will need to remove the airbox and the turbo to intercooler plumbing to be able to get at it...  It'll have to wait for a non rainy day  as it looks like an all day job :-(

MicMac you're a star !   thanks to this info I now know that the thermostat fits to the front of the engine and not behind the intercooler piping as I thought :-)
