Dashboard light issue

Featured Replies

Recently one of the rear lights that illuminate the registration plate blew. I went to halfords and bought the one recommended and installed it myself. After fitting it (and it works absolutly fine) the dashboard light saying I've got a bulb out still comes on everytime I turn the car on even though the all the lights are working perfectly.

Any ideas what's gone wrong or how to fix this?

Cars a mk1 07 fabia vrs.

Cheers.

Are you sure the new bulb is the right wattage? Should be 5 watts.

They are 5watt 12volt, can they be out in the wrong way around?

No, doesn't matter with filament ones.

Issue fixed, it turns out it was a brake light that had gone (I had to get someone to help me look as I only checked myself previously). Thanks for responding TMB
