Hi Guys what does the  clutch pedal position switch do on my Vrs 

Do you need it in place or not ?

If the switch is faulty the rpm's don't drop properly during gear changes, so I would assume the same would happen if you remove it. It's also required for disengaging cruise control if you have that fitted.
