HI all, recently acuired my first Skoda Octy 4x4 est.. its actually an ex police vehicle so a few miles on it at 125k I would like to start off right and have it fully serviced by someone in the know as it were... ie is competant to do it, does not have to be a garage could be a keen member who would like to help out a fellow member.... of course there would be an exchange of Bank of England gift vouchers (cash) for anyone who feels up to laying on the floor under somoen elses car... I'm looking to have the haldex oil changed, gearbox oil (manual, IM6) plus the usual engine oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter etc etc plus anything else I have forgotten...    So any offers or advice of who to ask or where to go ??

Used them for servicing and they sorted out a "wandering" issue that turned out to be wishbone bolts that were loose. :thumbup

Thanks guys, will give them a bell next week, no rush at the mo as service spanner only just started to flash up and beep... but I noticed its due in 5k miles, is that right ? Seems a tad early to be telling me about service required, is that standard advance warning.

 

(still want to get haldex oil changed, apparently the manual gearbox's are sealed for life ?? - according to my local skoda main stealer)

Just to let you all know I have found an nice local independent one man band garage who has a very old fashioned approach (if it don't need it I don't fit it attitude) which I prefer, also he is a proper old fashioned engineer type, in that he works right down to component level instead of module approach like so many dealers seem to go with. Who are they... C&B Services Iron Acton Nr Bristol if anyone wants his number I have it on file. I have no connection, I just liked his approach and attitude to dealing with servicing cars...
