Will these fit

Featured Replies

I've got the chance of springs and shocks from an 07 octy vrs, mine's an 05 octy Classic mk2 1.9tdi, mine's lowered about 35mm, theirs is about 15 I think. Now although I said before that I don't like lowered cars (and i don't) it's the hardness I can't stand. Now if the setup from the vrs fits, how much harder than an 05 octy Classic would it be

No one's even looked....it's that someone pm'd me and want to let them know asa if they'll fit

I looked, had no idea and wondered why you did not ask in the Sub forum for those cars,

you might get a quick answer.

Are these used Springs you are asking about fitting?

Is the vRS a diesel or petrol?  I would guess (and hope!) that they would be different due to the extra weight of the diesel engine.  But, having said that, how many miles has the donor car done?  I'm not sure that I'd want to put 7 year old secondhand suspension on my car unless they had covered a very low mileage and were very cheap.  As for comfort, well that's very subjective.  What someone thinks is OK somebody else might find too harsh.  I think the best way to find that out would be to try a 2007 vRS and see what you think.

Not sure, I asked...theirs had seemingly did about 60000 I don't know if that's a lot of not much, but then you don't know how it's been used, like I say though, I suppose if mine wasn't as hard I could live with it. But I'm definitely changing the wheels and tyres as imo they're to big
