Anybody

What are the benefits to you of doing it, that you have considered?

Is there some problem now with how your car is running?

Well from what I've read it is cleaner for the engine which has got to be a good thing and my mpg called do with being a bit higher .

I have cleaned my egr out a few months ago and it was clogged up with black carbon deposits, but I need to take it off again because at the time I didn't have a gasket for

the inlet manifold, and I know that needs cleaning out.

So I thought as I was going to be doing that should I delete the egr altogether?

Cheers dazz

I had a 1.4Tdi Fabia before my current car, And I agree I found the Mpg a little disappointing, But on a side note I owned it for 6000 miles and I took a look at the EGR Valve just before I sold it and I was virtually clean, And this weekend just gone, I've checked the EGR on the Touran which I have owned for 2 Months / 2000 Miles and it too is very clean.

I wonder if clogged EGR's are down to driving style?  Fuel used?  Short Journey's?
