Morning all,

 

I hit a deer on the way to work this morning, front bumper damage on the driver side. Front fog lamp smashed and all the gubbins behind it for the headlight washer system (although it doesn't have this). The washer bottle for the headlight washer smashed, the black plastic trim round the wheel arch adrift and the mud flap has gone.

 

Not had a good look inside the engine compartment yet but hopefully there won't be Bambi's head staring up at me!!!

 

Could anyone tell me the rough cost of the replacement of the bumper and mud flap?

Are the aircon condenser and radiator OK? Both of mine leaked after a collision between my Mk 1 Octavia 1.8T and a muntjak deer.

Yes the rad is fine (i think) cant see any obvious damage in the engine compartment.

 

After closer inspection the drivers side wing has been bent back slightly and the bracket(very thin metal) at the top of the bumper has been buckled. 

 

All the fixings on that side have sheared so the bumper is flapping about very nicely in the wind, doesn't bode well for the 60 miles journey home later.

 

Also the bottom edge of the bonnet (Hood) seems to have buckled ever so slightly so the grill doesn't sit properly into it.

 

Oh the joy just before xmas!!
