Hi there, when i lock my octavia 2008 the lights flash and doors lock but there is no chirp sound, is this something that needs to be programed in or do all skodas not have sound when locking or unlocking??. If it can be program what and where in vag/code reader do i look at and what do i change. I would love to change it so i get a audible chirp

You can program it in with VCDS and possibly via the maxidot.  Why would you though?  It's just annoying for others and wakes the sheep when you get home.

 

I thought chirpy door locks were from the '80s when people wanted to show off that they had remote locking.

If it's not already been done with VCDS then it won't show on Maxidot.

It's different on the MK2 Octavia. It's very quiet/feint.

 

The Mk1 Octavia, Fabia, Polo and Ibiza etc had a really loud beep.
